Required documents
All documents below are uploaded to the online application system; no hard copies go to Tempus Public Foundation (your sending partner may still want hard copies — check its own instructions). Each file can be up to 4 MB. A document not in the language of your chosen study programme or in Hungarian needs a translation attached alongside the original.

| Proof of language proficiency | A scanned copy of the original certificate meeting the host institution's minimum level, with translation if needed. |
| School certificate | Secondary school certificate for bachelor's and one-tier master's applicants; bachelor's degree certificate for master's applicants; secondary school certificate for non-degree Hungarian-language applicants. |
| Transcript of records | All academic semesters or years completed at the applicant's highest level of study so far. |
| Copy of identification document | Passport data page if you already have one, otherwise your national ID card. |
| Medical certificate — personal data page only | Only the page with your personal data and photo, at application stage. See the medical certificate page for the full certificate, needed only if you are awarded the scholarship. |
| Statement for Application | Accepted directly in the online system — not a scanned upload. |
| Portfolio (Arts and Music applicants only) | Works of art with their creation date, in the format the host institution requires; a link instead of a file if the portfolio is over 4 MB. |

Documents that can follow the deadline
Applicants still finishing secondary school or their current degree at the time of the deadline can upload a signed declaration instead of the finished certificate, and add the real certificate later — for the 2026/2027 round this was allowed for a high school certificate, a bachelor's or master's degree certificate, proof of language results still pending, or a passport still being issued. The declaration is due by the main deadline; the actual document follows by a later date set in the same call (1 August 2026 for that round). Missing this second deadline leads to automatic rejection.
