Stipendium Hungaricum for students from Pakistan

Tempus Public Foundation has not published the call for the 2027/2028 round yet. Based on the pattern of previous rounds — this 2026/2027 round opened in early November 2025 with a 15 January 2026 deadline — applications are expected to open in November 2026, with a deadline in mid-January 2027. This is a pattern, not an official date, so no estimated date is shown on the page.

Sending partner
Applicants from Pakistan apply through Higher Education Commission (HEC), the official Stipendium Hungaricum sending partner for Pakistan. Submitting to Tempus Public Foundation's online application system is required, but it is not enough on its own — Pakistanapplicants must also apply to this sending partner, on its own schedule.

Local deadline
For the 2026/2027 round, the Pakistan deadline was 15 January 2026. 16:00 Pakistan Standard Time, same calendar day as the Tempus deadline but two hours later in local time.
Pakistan-specific requirements
Compulsory HAT/USAT admission test. Registration opened around 8 December 2025 at etc.hec.gov.pk; the test itself was held on 1 February 2026. Applicants must apply on both the HEC portal and the Tempus Public Foundation system — only applications marked "SUBMITTED" on the HEC portal are forwarded.
