Other scholarships
Stipendium Hungaricum is the largest Hungarian government scholarship for international students, but not the only funded route into a Hungarian university. The three programmes below are separate, with their own eligibility rules, applications and deadlines — none of them is applied for through the Stipendium Hungaricum online system. FAO–Hungary Scholarship Programme
A fully funded master's scholarship run by the Hungarian government with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, for young professionals from beneficiary countries and territories in Africa, Asia and Europe, to study agriculture, rural development, food safety, sustainable natural resource management or water management in English at a Hungarian agricultural university. It covers tuition, dormitory accommodation, subsistence and health insurance.

Scholarship Programme for Christian Young People (SCYP)
A Hungarian government programme, coordinated by the Hungary Helps Agency, for Christian students from countries where they face religious persecution or restrictions on practising their faith. Applicants need a recommendation letter from their local church. Applications go through a separate online system, not the Stipendium Hungaricum portal, and are not always open — check the official page for the current status.
Central European University (CEU) scholarships
CEU, based in Budapest, is a private university with its own scholarships and tuition waivers, separate from the Hungarian government's Stipendium Hungaricum programme. Funding varies by programme: postgraduate (master's and doctoral) study is generally eligible for full funding, undergraduate study usually only for a partial tuition waiver. Applicants apply directly to CEU.
